I did not write the piece, nor the headline. The friendship is addressed more in the article. I very much consider both my egg donations as positive experiences; the act of being someone's donor simply doesn't inoculate one against the waxing and waning of a long term friendship - that's simply life.

Great article Alicia! Any exposure to raise awareness of egg donation is a positive step. For those of us who have read your book, we are already aware of your kind and generous nature and that the change in friendship with one egg recipient was an unfortunate side issue. The media loves ‘sensational headlines’ after all.
